Another door question

These days I am trying to put my door together, and last evening I mounted door opening mechanisms. So I have notice two holes near the place where I screwd mechanisms (shown on photo). Please if anyone can tell me, what are these two for? Problem is that I have never tear down these doors, just trying to put them together.

the door latch should have 3 screws, so the upper one should have a match on the latch. the upper hole i don't have on my car.

sometimes when you have a car rust protected they drill holes to spray there formula in.
