What's This?

Does anybody know what this is? It fell out of somewhere right behind the fuse box. What does it connect to? I looked for loose wires up there and couldn't find any that seemed obviously missing something.

it looks like the rest of the inspection lamp plug, without its plastic housing.

Is everything still working the same? Anything faulty after the discovery?

westy64's got it right I think. I was wondering what that housing was supposed to do, then I just did a quick search and found that its part of the inspection lamp, and it fits right into that housing. Nothing seemed to go wrong with it out of that housing, which would make sense i guess.
