hello,

I bought a second hand gearbox as my own gearbox has a very noisie bearing and i wanted to keep driving.
the gearbox i bought was out of the car and i don't now the history, i took it apart but as this is my first gearbox overhall id like your expert oppinion on how it looks. I can see ware on the fifth gear syngro but the rest looks fine to me.

I stumbled across this thread when rebuilding my transmission. I have similar looking parts and was curious if they were serviceable.
I ended up finding this site: http://ladaniva.co.uk/baxter/resources/Gearbox.htm
It does a good job showing examples of good and worn out parts in the lada transmission ( which is more or less the same as the fiat trans ) figured I would post here for anyone else who finds this.

from what i see, i would replace all 4 brass syncro's, both shift sleeves, both shift forks, flip the 5th gear syncro, and mate it to the side of the 5th gear sleeve that hasnt been used and go with it
