When I put the car in reverse, number 8 fuse blows. The problem is not at the rear lights themselves but somewhere in the wiring.
Is there a likely place in the wiring that may be causing the problem? What is the best way to go about finding the short?
Thanks

Re: Short in reverse light
It is fairly common for the wires on the the reverse light switch to brake and short to ground. This could be your issue. The switch is located on the back lower right side of the transmission. Also the wires connect to the cars wiring with a plastic insulator that some time falls off. These connections are often located below the wooded dress panel where the shift lever boot is. The wood pops out of the center condole. Sometimes this is difficult area to access.
